Shri Kedarnath and Shri Badrinath are two significant pilgrimage destinations in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, nestled amidst the majestic Himalayan mountains. These sacred sites hold immense religious and cultural importance in Hinduism, attracting millions of devotees and tourists each year.
SHRI KEDARNATH DHAM
LOCATION: Kedarnath is situated in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, India.
ELEVATION: It is located at an elevation of approximately 3,583 meters (11,755 feet) above sea level.
TEMPLE: The main attraction is the Kedarnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. This ancient temple is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and is believed to have been built by the Pandavas of the Mahabharata fame.
ACCESSIBILITY: The journey to Kedarnath involves a challenging trek or can be reached by helicopter services during the pilgrimage season. The temple remains closed during the winter months due to heavy snowfall.
DAY 1: OVERNIGHT JOURNEY FROM DELHI TO HARIDWAR
- Reach Delhi by 10:30 pm, we will depart from Delhi around 11 pm for Haridwar.
- Get your seat assigned, Board the bus and move towards Haridwar.
DAY 2: HARIDWAR TO GUPTKASHI / CHADRAPURI / BHIRI
- Start your journey from Haridwar early in the morning.
- Drive to Guptkashi / Chandrapuri / Bhiri a town en route to Shri Kedarnath Dham.
- On the way we will cover Devprayag sangam and Dhari devi temple with Rudraprayag Sangam.
- Check-in to your accommodation and rest for the night.
DAY 3: GUPTKASHI / CHADRAPURI / BHIRI TO SHRI KEDARNATH DHAM
- After an early breakfast, drive to Sitapur / Sonprayg.
- From Guptkashi / Chadrapuri / Bhiri, Sitapur Parking is (40 Km by Road), start your trek to Shri Kedarnath Dham (21 km trek or you can take a helicopter).
- Visit the Shri Kedarnath temple and explore the surroundings.
- Overnight stay at Shri Kedarnath Dham.
DAY 4: SHRI KEDARNATH DHAM TO GUPTKASHI / CHADRAPURI / BHIRI
- Begin your trek back to Sonprayag and then Sitapur Parking.
- Drive back to Guptkashi / Chadrapuri / Bhiri.
- Relax and prepare for the next leg of the journey.
TUNGNATH TEMPLE
LOCATION: Tungnath is located in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, India, at an altitude of approximately 3,680 meters (12,073 feet) above sea level.
TEMPLE: Tungnath is the highest Shiva temple in the world and is a significant part of the Panch Kedar pilgrimage circuit, which includes Kedarnath as well. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
ACCESSIBILITY: Tungnath is accessible by a trekking route that starts from Chopta, a picturesque hill station in Uttarakhand. The trek is moderate and offers stunning views of the Himalayan peaks.
DAY 5: GUPTKASHI / CHADRAPURI / BHIRI TO CHOPTA AND TUNGNATH TEMPLE
- Wake up early in the morning and after breakfast move towards Chopta and Tungnath Temple.
- Drive to Chopta, a beautiful hill station known for its scenic landscapes.
- Visit the Tungnath temple (3.5 km trek from Chopta).
- Trek down before evening, board the cab and move towards Hotel
- Dinner and Overnight stay at Guptkashi / Chadrapuri / Bhiri.
SHRI BADRINATH DHAM
LOCATION: Badrinath is located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India.
ELEVATION: It is situated at an elevation of about 3,133 meters (10,279 feet) above sea level.
TEMPLE: The Badrinath Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites in India. The idol of Lord Badrinath is believed to be a self-manifested form of Lord Vishnu.
SIGNIFICANCE: Badrinath holds immense significance in Hinduism and is considered one of the holiest shrines in the country. It is also a part of the Chota Char Dham Yatra along with Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri.
ACCESSIBILITY: Badrinath is accessible by road, and the pilgrimage season generally lasts from late April to early November, with the temple closing during the winter due to heavy snowfall.
DAY 6: GUPTKASHI / CHADRAPURI / BHIRI TO SHRI BADRINATH DHAM
- Enjoy the scenic view in the morning from the stay, after breakfast move towards Shri Badrinath Dham.
- Drive to Shri Badrinath Dham, a significant pilgrimage site.
- Visit the Shri Badrinath temple and other nearby attractions.
- Evening visit to the Mana Village and Vyas Gufa.
- Overnight stay at Shri Badrinath Dham / Joshimath.
DAY 7: SHRI BADRINATH DHAM TO RISHIKESH/ HARIDWAR
- Drive to Rishikesh/Haridwar, a spiritual and adventure hub.
- Visit the famous Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula.
- Explore the Triveni Ghat for the Ganga Aarti in the evening (as per time availability).
- Drop at Rishikesh/ Haridwar at common point or station.

- IF ORGANISERS IS FORCED TO CHANGE OR CANCEL A TRIP AFTER IT HAS STARTED BECAUSE OF EVENTS AND SITUATIONS OUTSIDE ITS CONTROL – “FORCE MAJEURE” – NO COMPENSATION WILL BE PAID
- No Refunds applicable on cancellation before the commencement of the journey.
- If the trip is cancelled due to natural calamities in that case, no refund shall be provided, but you can complete your trip in the batches after June.
