Har Ki Dun the Majestic valley in Garhwal Himalayas
Encapsulated in the alluring Garhwal region of the Great Himalayas in Uttarakhand, a cradle shaped valley rests there a but by the foot steps of Indian mythology and till today,is known to be“Har Ki Dun”. Existing for more than 500 decades , no doubt that it is renowned as the “Valley of Gods”.Har ki dun has captivating essence of history and mythology with scenic beauty of sublime climate surrounded with desirable soothing greenery.

Itinerary of Har Ki Dun Trek
Day 1: Pickup to you from Dehradun Railway Station to Sankri (160 km) (7/8 Hours) (1920 m) overnight stay at Sankri
Day 2: Drive from Sankri to Taluka (11 km) same day trek to Cheludgad/Seema (12 km) (2700 m) (4/5 hours) night stay camp .
Day 3: Cheludgad to Har Ki dun (13 km) (5/6 hours) (3645 m) night stay camp
Day 4: Explore Har Ki Dun valley and its surroundings (3/9 km) (4/6 hours) (Manida lake) (Jaundhar Glacier) night stay camp.
Day 5: Har Ki Dun to Cheludgad and trek to OSLA Village (13 km) (5/6 hours) night stay camp.
Day 6: Cheludgad to Taluka (13 km) (2400 m) and Drive to Sankri and stay over night.
Day 7: After breakfast Drive from Sankri to railway station dehradun (160 km) (7/8 hours)
Who can go
- First timer can apply, should have some interest in trekking and mountaineering.
- The climber must be fit and have sufficient stamina to cover 5 km of distance in 30 minutes without a stress.
- The climber should be able to carry a 10-15 kg backpack.
- Heart problem, high blood pressure, asthma, and epilepsy cannot be reconciled on this mission.
- The climber must not have the conditions mentioned above.
How to Reach
By Air :-
Jolly Grant Airport is the airport serving Dehradun, located about 25 km from the city. There is a daily flight from Delhi to Dehradun. Come one day early if planning to come by flight.
By Train :-
Take the overnight train to Dehradun from Delhi
- Nanda devi Express – Train no: 12205 (Departure 11:50 pm; Arrival – 5:40 am)
- Dehradun Express – Train no: 12687 (Departure – 9:10 pm; Arrival – 5:00 am)
By Bus:-
There is regular bus service from Delhi to Dehradun, from Delhis ISBT Kashmere Gate.
We would suggest you to take only government buses from ISBT Kashmere Gate. Private buses ply from outside ISBT and they are not trust worthiness.
Usually buses drop you at Dehradun ISBT. From there you have to come to Dehradun Railway Station
- TTH’s Tata Sumo or similar vehicles will pick-up you from Dehradun Railway Station at 6:00am.
- Pick-up is included in the cost of the trek
- You will reach Sankri by 4:00 pm
- Food from dehradun to Sankri is not included in the trek cost

Note – We serve three meals a day including snacks and soup. A variety of delectable and healthy food is provided which includes; Indian, Chinese and other Western meals. They are nutritious and keep you fit and healthy on the trek. (Veg or Non-Veg food).
Cancellation Policy:-
- It is good to make your booking two months prior in advance. In the event of cancellation of any trek/adventure activity due to any reasons, it is compulsory to notify us in writing. Cancellation charges will only be effective from the date we receive your request in writing.
- If the trek is cancelled by us due to any reason (heavy snowfall, rainfall, natural disaster etc.) then the refund would not be initiated but you can go on the same trek another year.
- No Refunds applicable on cancellation 30 days before the commencement of the journey.
- In case of any natural calamity like landslide, heavy rainfall or by any means if the travelers get stuck for extra days anywhere apart from the accommodations and travel schedule mentioned in the above itinerary, the travelers will have to bear their extra expenses.
- The cancellation charges are as follows –
(Bank charges deducted are not Refundable) :- Up to 30 Days – 90% cost is Refundable
Between 21 to 30 Days – 50% cost is Refundable
Less than 20 Days – No Refund
(Refund is initiated within 7-8 business days

Har ki Dun trek is easy to moderate due to the fairly difficult trails and trek gradients. Furthermore, the long trekking duration of around 6 days adds to the level of difficulty of the trek as well
Best time for Har Ki Doon Trek is throughout the year except monsoon. there will be More snow in the winter months until April.
