Kedarnath Temple ( केदारनाथ मंदिर ) , is a Hindu temple (shrine) dedicated to Shiva. Located on the Garhwal Himalayan range near the Mandakini river, Kedarnath is located in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Due to extreme weather conditions, the temple is open to the general public only between the months of April (Akshaya Tritiya) and November (Kartik Purnima, the autumn full moon). During the winters, the vigraha (deity) from Kedarnath temple is carried down to Ukhimath and where the deity is worshiped for the next six months. Kedarnath is seen as a homogenous form of Shiva, the ‘Lord of Kedarkhand’, the historical name of the region.[1]
The temple is not directly accessible by road and has to be reached by a 22 kilometres (14 mi) uphill trek from Gaurikund. Pony and manchan service is available to reach the structure. According to Hindu legends, the temple was initially built by Pandavas, and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, the holiest Hindu shrines of Shiva. Pandavas were supposed to have pleased Shiva by doing penance in Kedarnath. The temple is one of the four major sites in India’s Chota Char Dham pilgrimage of Northern Himalayas. This temple is the highest among the 12 Jyotirlingas.

Itinerary :
DAY 1 : REACH DELHI | HALT FOR SOMETIME | DEPART FROM DELHI
Meet our trip leader in Delhi and depart for Haridwar/ Rishikesh. Reach Haridwar By evening. Enjoy the leisure time by Haridwar sightseeing (i.e. Ganga Aarti, Hari Ki Pauri, Ganga Ghat). Check in into the Hotel /Camps in Rishikesh and Dinner and overnight stay at hotel/ Camp.
DAY 2: DEPART FOR GUPTKASHI
Wake up in the morning have breakfast and depart towards Guptkashi.
**REACH GUPTKASHI | LEISURE DAY**
On the route to Guptkashi, we will cross the picturesue Devprayag, Srinagar and Rudrapyarag and also get a chance to witness the confluesnce of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi river first and then the confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini river.
Reach Guptkashi and check-in to your hotel / Guest House / Home Stay , overnight stay with dinner .
DAY 3: TREK TO KEDARNATH DHAM | TREK DISTANCE: 21KM
Drive to Sonprayag, from where we will take government cabs to reach Gaurikund. The Trek starts from Gaurikund, 21 Kms one way to reach Kedarnath Temple.
During the trek we can see numerous beautiful waterfalls; also there are many resting points where you can get a chance to get a gulp of Burannsh juice which also helps in tackling lack of oxygen problem faced by people at height.
Once Reach Kedarnath, take darshan in temple. Overnight stay in Kedarnath (Hotel / Guest House / Home Stay / Camps).
DAY 4: TREK DOWN | REACH BACK TOGUPTKASHI
In morning, go for DARSHAN at Kedarnath Shrine.
The Kedarnath Shrine, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, is a scenic spot situated, against true backdrop of the majestic Kedarnath range. Kedarnath ranges. Take a moment to breathe in the spiritual aura of this place and witness the scenic beauty of Garhwal Himalayan range surrounding the temple which will give a feeling that it is indeed Shiva’s adobe.
After Darshan, trek down to Gaurikund. Reach Guptkashi, have dinner and overnight stay (Hotel / Guest House / Home Stay)…
DAY 5: DEPARTURE TOWARDS RISHIKESH
After breakfast, will board the Cab / Traveller and depart towards Rishikesh. Reach Rishikesh in the evening, check in into the camp, and enjoy the light music with bonfire and some snacks, overnight stay in the camps with dinner.
DAY 6: LOCAL SIGHTSEEING AND DEPARTURE TOWARDS DELHI
It has been a tiring trip. Just relax for a while and admire the nature. After breakfast will check out from the camps and have some local sightseeing of Rishikesh (temple, Laxman jhula etc).
Depart towards Delhi. Reach Delhi by evening. It’s the last day of the trip; it’s the time to say good bye to everyone.

If the trip is cancelled due to natural calamities in that case, no refund shall be provided, but you can complete your trip in the next available batches
In case of any natural calamity like landslide, heavy rainfall or by any means if the travelers get stuck for extra days anywhere apart from the accommodations and travel schedule mentioned in the above itinerary, the travelers will have to bear their extra expenses.
