Shri Kedarnath Dham, located in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, is one of the most paramount locations for worshipers of Shiva. The air appears to be reverberating with the name of Lord Shiva amid the mighty snow-clad peaks, enchanting meadows and forests of the lower mountain range of Himalayas. Situated in a breathtaking location, near the source of Mandakini River and at the height of 3,584 meters, Kedarnath Dham celebrates the greatness of Lord Shiva. Kedarnath temple is one of the 12 Jyotir Lingams and is also the most important temple among the Panch Kedars (group of 5 Shiva temples in Garhwal Himalayas). It is also one of the significant temples of the sacred Chota Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand, raising the glory of the place to further heights.

Accessible from major destinations of Uttarakhand, the motorable road towards Kedarnath temple stretches till Gauri Kund. After that one needs to take a 14 km trek towards Kedarnath temple. Ponies and palanquins (doli) are easily available; one can also avail helicopter services during peak season of yatra.

The hard journey till the great shrine of Shiva is well compensated with the spiritual atmosphere which is created by the unruffled, tranquil and splendid beauty of the region. The majestic Kedarnath peak (6,940 meters) stands behind the temple along with other peaks, forming a perfect setting for the holy land of the supreme deity. The conical-shaped Shiva lingam in the Kedarnath temple is a unique feature of the temple among all Shiva shrines.

Tungnath Temple

The Tungnath temple is located at an altitude of about 3680 m above sea level, the temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is the highest Shiva Shrine among the Panch Kedar, 3 km uphill from Chopta. The sancity of the region of Tungnath is considered unsurpassed.

Tungnath temple is the highest Shiva temple in the world and is one of the five and the highest Panch Kedar temples located in the mountain range of Tungnath in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. This rocky terrain boasts of the obeisance of Shiva, the destroyer lord. The peak of Tungnath is the source of three springs that form the river Akashkamini. Tungnath is reached through a path that wends through alpine meadows & rhododendron thickets. 1 kms steep trek from Tungnath Temple leads to Chandrashila with its panoramic views.

ITINERARY

Day 01: Reach Delhi | Halt For Sometime | Haridwar

Meet our trip leader in Delhi and depart for Haridwar. Time and location will be share by the Coordinator prior to the trip. After a small brief we will move towards Haridwar. Once reach check in in to the hotel, later in the evening we will cover Ganga Aarti, ghat visit etc. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 02: Depart for Guptkashi

Wake up in the morning, after breakfast we will move towards Guptkashi via Devprayg and dhari Devi temple.

REACH GUPTKASHI | LEISURE DAY

On the route to Guptkashi, we will cross the picturesque Devprayag, Srinagar and Rudrapyarag and also get a chance to witness the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi River first and then the confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini River. Reach Guptkashi/ nearby place and check-in to your hotel / Guest House / Home Stay, overnight stay with dinner

Day 03: Guptkashi – Shri Kedarnath Dham (45kms by Road 21 Kms Trek One Way)

Wake up early (3-4 am) in the morning and move towards sitapur parking and then take government taxi to reach Gaurikund, Start Your Trek from Gaurikund to Shri Kedarnath dham (By Pony / Doli / Helicopter at Your Own Cost). Visit Kedarnath Temple. After Temple Darshan Trek Overnight Stay At Shri Kedarnath Dham (Camp stay ).

Every year, millions of devotees flock here to seek the solace of mind and experience spiritual enrichment. Kedarnath Located in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, the temple is situated near the source of Mandakini River, which exceeds its beauty and spirituality.

Day 04: Shri Kedarnath Dham–Guptkashi (45km by Road & 21km Trek One Way)

In The Morning Darshan at Kedarnath Temple Return To Gaurikund by Trek or Reach Guptakashi /Phata By Helicopter, Later Drive For Guptkashi. On Arrival At Guptkashi Check-In The Hotel/ Camp And Overnight Stay

Day 05: Chopta – Tungnath – Chopta (45 km by Road & 4 Kms Trek One Way)

In The Morning Drive To Chopta .Start The Trekking to Tungnath, Its Approx 4 Kms Trek. On Arrival at Tungnath Mandir, Get Pooja and Darshan, Later Trek down To Chopta and back to hotel, Dinner and Overnight Stay.

Day 06:- Departure towards Rishikesh

After breakfast, will board the Cab / Traveller and depart towards Rishikesh. Reach Rishikesh in the evening, check in into the camp, and enjoy the light music with bonfire and some snacks, overnight stay in the camps with dinner.

Day 07: Local Sightseeing and Departure Towards Delhi

It has been a tiring trip. Just relax for a while and admire the nature. After breakfast will check out from the camps, a small rafting session and have some local sightseeing of Rishikesh (temple, Laxman jhula etc) Depart for Delhi. Reach Railway station in the night.
It’s the last day of the trip; it’s the time to say good bye to everyone.

  • If the trip is cancelled due to natural calamities in that case, no refund shall be
    provided, but you can complete your trip in the batches after june.
  • In case of any natural calamity like landslide, heavy rainfall or by any means if the travelers get stuck for extra days anywhere apart from the accommodations and travel schedule mentioned in the above itinerary, the travelers will have to bear their extra expenses.
